Tech Holds off North Texas

North Texas just couldn’t overcome Texas Tech but they hung with them until the last six seconds of the game before falling 64-69.

It was shooting that was the downfall. They hit for 36% shooting from the floor and 6% or 1 of 16 three point attempts.  The only place North Texas was able to score from was the free throw line where they hit 81% or 17 of 21 attempts.

It was Freshman Chris Jones getting 31 points that kept North Texas in the game. He was the only player with double figures. He also had four rebounds, three assists and two steals.
