Eleven Straight

North Texas took it to St. Gregory’s 81-52 on Veterans Day at the Super Pit. Head Coach Johnny Jones is now 11-0 in home openers.

The game gave North Texas the opportunity to work on man to man defense which is what they used for the gaCourtesy UNTme.  

Before the next game, North Texas is needs to improve on several phases of the game including free throws and shooting from the field. They hit only 44% of their field goals, 62% from the line and 32% from three point range.

North Texas played pretty good defense as they out-rebounded the Cavaliers 52-36, were 15-8 in second chance points and scored 26 to 13 points after turnovers. In the paint, they poured in 40 points to eighteen

North Texas was led by Jordan Williams in scoring pouring in 16 points hitting six of twelve from the floor and three of six from three point range.

Kendrick Hogans added 11 points with five rebounds.

Brandon Walton put in nine points as a result of hitting three, three point shots.

Adding in another nine points was Alzee Williams.

Next in scoring was Jacob Holmen with eight points and he grabbed eight rebounds.

While Chris Jones only added four points to the teams total he was impressive with 12 rebounds, eight assists and four steals.

Alzono Edwards, Forrest Robinson, Roger Franklin, Tyler Hall and Niko Stojiljkoviv had four points each.
