North Texas gets Exhibition Win
North Texas showed they needed a lot of work in their opening season 67-54 win over Oklahoma City Stars. The first quarter started slow for North Texas as they seemed to be feeling out the competition and how the team members worked together. As a result they held a 35-34 halftime led. However, the second half they played a more up-tempo game allowing them to pull away from the visitors.
There was a lot of support coming in from the bench as they were responsible for almost half the point total with 32 points.
North Texas hit only 40.6% of field goals in the first half and 35.7% At the line they averaged 66.7% for each half and the game.
Chris Jones and Jacob Holmen each scored a team high ten points each.
