Troy (8-5) opened the Sun Belt Bowl season with a solid 48-21 win over MAC Conference member Ohio (8-5) in the R+L Carriers Bowl in New Orleans.

Next up will be FIU facing Toledo in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl on December 26^th in Detroit, Mich.

The final Sun Belt team in action will be Middle Tennessee (6-6) facing MAC member Miami of Ohio (9-4) in the Go Daddy.com Bowl in Mobile, Alabama January 6^th.
