Sam Houston Dumps North Texas 92-74

The five game winning streak for North Texas is over as a result of Sam Houston taking Johnny Jones crew to the woodshed and handing them a 74-92 loss.

Sam Houston led from the first basket to the final buzzer. Kedrick Hogans did his best with a career high of 19 points for North Texas but four SHSU players ended the game in double figures which was simply too much to overcome. It did not help the situation much with 15 North Texas turnovers

Before the game, North Texas wanted to get SHSU in foul trouble and they did exactly that in the second-half. With 9:22 left in the game they were in the double bonus but it did not help. SHSU seemed to be able to put in any of their shots at will.

It looked like North Texas would stage a late comeback when they closed to within six with a few minutes left in the game but SHSU held off any North Texas comeback.
