North Texas Fans, as well as potential future fans, will get to see the architectural renderings of the new stadium between 5-8 P.M. tonight before
and during the Twilight Tunes concert on the courthouse square. Music begins at 6:30 an is provided by Denton native Chris Watson and the Chris Watson Band. The concert is free and features blues/rock music.
Taking North Texas to the streets is one part of the effort by the Athletic Department to engage the local community in an effort to draw more interest in the University of North Texas Athletic Department.
Twilight Tunes is co-sponsored by the Junior Mean Green Club and is every Thursday evening through July 1. The event is family oriented and families are invited to bring food, drink and lawn chairs.
Twilight Tunes is part of the effort to revitalization of downtown Denton and has been extremely effective. Denton is considered by some to rival events in downtown Dallas and Austin, Texas. Here are some of the events planned for downtown through next year. www.dentonmainstreet.org/
