North Texas scouting Argyle
North Texas Head Coach Todd Dodge is looking forward to next season recruiting and apparently two players on his watch list play from Argyle High School. The two players are Storm Griffith, 6-2, 160, DB/S/WR and Chad Hedlund, 5-11, 165, QB/K.
During the 08-09 season Griffith had 27 solo tackles, 34 assisted tackles for a total of 61 tackles along with two quarterback sacks. On six kick-off returns he returned the ball for total of 89 yards which is 14.83 yards per return. His longest return was 35 yards. He was a 3-A district honorable mention.
Griffith also plays on the baseball team where he has earned honors in 2008 when he was elected all area pitcher and 2009 the 2nd team all district.
Last year Hedlund was 10-16 on field goal attempts with a long of 50 yards with 4 that were over 40 yards. On point after attempts he was 39-42.
Eagles ended their season 12-1. Last year he helped Argyle to its first regular undefeated season in school history with a 10-0, 5-0 record and the outright District 9-3A Championship.
