After winning the tournament, junior guard <b>Tristan Thompson</b> talked about the focus of the North Texas Basketball team.

The Mean Green was the preseason selection to win the West Division of the Sunbelt Conference. According to Thompson, the team wanted more.Even after a win Thompson said “we were looking at the big picture each game.” The team wanted to come out and win the West Division but they really were focused on winning the Conference Tournament Championship.

After each game Thompson stated they “would smile after a win and said on to the next one.” There was no need to celebrate about winning a regular season game, they were focused on something bigger, being the Sunbelt Conference Tournament Champions.  

After achieving their goal, Thompson said “now it feels good to celebrate with everybody.”

The team should be back on campus between 2:30 and 3 PM on Weds. They will now focus on Selection Sunday to find out what seed they well get, who they will play against and where they begin their chance to win a national championship.
